Final Project: Entry 1

For my final project, I have the opportunity to do one of two things: compose a new song or cover an existing song.  I have several songs that I am working on now that I could use, but I also know that it is safer to cover a song that is already successful.

I am using Logic Pro X as my DAW and Finale as my notation software.  I began notating my ideas for my new song and playing around with length, key, and melody while trying to awaken the poet within me to write original lyrics.

The film is tricky, because I do not have any production staff to follow me around and film me/events.  Luckily, I recently acquired a so-called "selfie stick," and it should help with the stationary filming that I want.

Right now, I am attempting to give the work direction, but I find myself struggling to come up with a definitive idea.
